The warm, dense end of the catalogue: amber, tobacco, oud, vanilla and resin compositions that need cool air to read properly. Cold weather slows evaporation, so heavier fragrances open more gradually and last much longer than they would in summer — which is exactly why they are worth their own collection.

How this collection is decided

Each fragrance carries a stored seasonal suitability rating across the four seasons, and a scent appears here when its winter rating is high. This is Steelixe's own assessment of how the composition behaves in cool weather rather than a manufacturer claim.

Expect Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, Lattafa Khamrah, the Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male line, Parfums de Marly Layton and Haltane, Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade and the IBRAQ tobacco extraits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do winter fragrances last longer?
Cold air slows evaporation, so the fragrance releases more gradually. The same bottle that fades by lunchtime in August can still be present in the evening in January.

Can I wear a winter fragrance in Egyptian summer?
You can, but apply far less. A single spray of a heavy amber or tobacco scent in heat projects roughly like three sprays of a citrus one.

Do the bottles come with the box?
Both. Every fragrance is sold in two versions: Without Box, which is the outlet price, and With Box, which adds the retail outer box for gifting.
